Painting
Improves appearance and surface protection for 3D printed parts. Suitable for visual models and presentation parts that require better color consistency and a cleaner finished look.
Polishing
Used to reduce surface roughness and improve smoothness on visible surfaces, especially for metal 3D printed parts that require a cleaner and more refined finish.
Electroplating
Provides a metallic surface layer for selected 3D printed parts to improve appearance or support functional requirements such as wear resistance, corrosion resistance, or conductivity.
3D Printing Materials
Our material selection covers both plastic and metal options, including ABS, PA (Nylon), Aluminum, and Stainless Steel, to support a wide range of industrial 3D printing applications. If you need a material not listed, simply select “Other” on the quote configuration page. We will review your requirements and help source the right material for your project.

What Is 3D Printing?
3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process that creates physical parts directly from digital design files by building material layer by layer.
As one of the most widely used modern manufacturing technologies, 3D printing is commonly used for prototyping, product development, and low-volume production.
Compared with traditional subtractive manufacturing, 3D printing allows for more complex geometries, reduced material waste, and faster turnaround times. This makes it a practical solution for prototype development and custom part production in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, and industrial equipment.
3D Printing Service FAQs
1. What tolerances can your 3D printing services achieve?
Standard tolerance is typically ±0.2 mm. For larger parts, tolerance may scale with part size depending on the process and geometry. For selected technologies and well-controlled features, tighter tolerances up to ±0.05 mm may be achievable after engineering review.
2. How long does it take to 3D print parts?
Lead time depends on part size, geometry, material, and printing process. As a reference, SLA parts typically take 4 business days, MJF around 5 business days, and SLS / SLM around 6 business days under standard scheduling. For eligible urgent projects, after model review and price confirmation, production can be completed in as fast as 24 hours.
3. What is the maximum build size you support?
Maximum build size depends on the 3D printing process:
- SLA: 1400 × 700 × 500 mm
- MJF: 264 × 343 × 348 mm
- SLS: 380 × 280 × 380 mm
- SLM: 320 × 320 × 400 mm
If your part is larger than a single build envelope, our engineers can review whether split-build and assembly is practical.
4. What file formats do you accept for 3D printing?
We accept common 3D file formats including STEP / STP, STL, IGS / IGES, PRT, SLDPRT, SAT, and X_T. For engineering review and better geometry control, STEP / STP is usually preferred, while STL is commonly used for direct print preparation.
5. How much does your 3D printing service cost?
Cost depends on the printing process, material, part size, geometry complexity, quantity, and finishing requirements. At JIZAO, your file is reviewed by real engineers rather than an instant quoting system. We typically provide an RFQ response within 12 hours, and for standard projects, quotation confirmation is usually completed within 24 hours.
6. Do you support both prototypes and production orders?
The right process depends on your part’s function, appearance, material needs, and delivery target:
- SLA for smooth surfaces and high-detail visual prototypes
- MJF for strong nylon functional parts and efficient small-batch production
- SLS for durable plastic parts with complex geometry
- SLM for high-strength metal parts and demanding engineering applications
If you send us your model and requirements, our engineers can recommend the most suitable process based on your project.
